Chapman’s Peak Drive, connecting Hout Bay with Noordhoek hugs the coast for nine kilometres along one of the most dramatic marine routes in the world. The road climbs steadily from Hout Bay, skirting 114 curves along the rocky coastline with some magnificent views of the mountain and bay. Hikers ascend from Chapmans’ Peak Drive parking area to Chapman’s Nek then follow the old Hoerikwaggo Trail to the peak (593m) for spectacular views. This hike offers fantastic and unique opportunities for the perfect Instagram shot. Don't forget to bring your phone or camera! Tips: • Sunscreen and hats on hot days • Wind jackets & rain gear on cold days • Bring your own water & snacks • Proper hiking boots • Cash for a tip if you like your guide :) Duration: 3 hours with sundowners or moonuppers on top Degree of difficulty: Moderate (quite steep and rocky) Start Time: 8am
